Lowest Price Guarantee
I was looking to purchase shocks part #TS40210. Autopartswarehouse was asking approx $449.66 per shock and they offer a lowest price guarantee. Clearlyauto.com has the same shock, part # 40210, for 330.64 per shock. When I first requested the lowest price, march 21, 2011, on an online chat service autopartswarhouse provided an attendant, Bret, who told me that I met all the criteria except that clearlyauto did not have them in stock. I asked Bret how he could check clearlyauto's inventory if he does not work there and he did not answer. I called clearly auto the next day and they said they have them in stock. So Bret was lying!! Next I submitted a form to ask for the lowest price guarantee and I received an email back from Mike Gonzales saying that they could not meet the 330.64 that was offered by clearly auto they offered me the shocks at $340.00, Price Match Request 286567-4590558 with free shipping on March 25, 2011. I then accepted the offer and sent an email, then Mike Gonzales returns an email to me saying that they could not match the price offered by clearlyauto.com and that they would offer me the shocks at $370.00 and free shipping. There lowest price guarantee is false advertising and they are not practicing in good faith, they keep sending me emails upping the price. I think they should have to honor the guarantee and provide some compensation for the lying that is going on. Thanks.
