Zero Accountability, Suspicion of Identity Theft

Avoid if you can. Purchased a BMW out of state and they worked with Maverick on my deal. This office simply hires out jobs to independent contractors - freelance notaries who drive around - and they have no system of accountability whatsoever. When I called to report the notary's unscrupulous behavior in hopes of having my concerns alleviated I was instantly dismissed.
To make a short story shorter, when my docs arrived in the notary's hands he called me with such an attitude problem, preaching on and on about the "big deals" he oversees and giving unsolicited advice after he had gone through and read my contract. His job is to verify the ID of the person signing, he is not allowed to give me or the signer business advice and he and Maverick Signing almost cost me my entire deal. I was very uncomfortable that this unsavory fellow had all of my family's financial information in the palm of his hand and was using this leverage to shout on the phone, interrupt and speak over me.
I had later found out that he has spent well over an HOUR at my senior mother's house giving her all sorts of financial advice. She's worth over $4M (which he knew since he read though all of our financials) and I found it very unsettling that a man who's only job is to watch someone sign a document, have so much to say to her about the estate that I manage.
Preying on the elderly is not a joke and Maverick took no action against this notary. Remember folks, to be a notary you just need to take an online course and get rubber stamped through the DOJ. That's it, and Maverick makes it seem like they hold THEIR notaries to a higher standard but in fact they are all just independent contractors and Maverick is nothing more than a call center in a small office in Mission Viejo.
They only pay their notaries $70 to come out in Los Angeles traffic for multiple signatures, I've never heard of a notary working for such low pay in LA. So what kind of person takes that horrible pay? In my case it was a desperate man on a power trip - the exact opposite of who you want handling your sensitive documents... I have 3 more cars coming down the pipeline for my family and after making my complaints public the dealership instantly agreed to stop working with Maverick and offered to look on Yelp and choose a reputable mobile notary that I was comfortable with.
