Worst product and customer service in history!
|
I decided to order an ATV from PowersportsMax.com (Deeal Inc.) after reading "their" reviews and all of the "our customer service is our top priority" stuff on "their" website. I sent a money order which took them 4 days to process after the USPS confirmed they had received it. It arrived on time and the shipping crate looked to be in excellent condition. Once I got it uncrated and started to assemble it I noticed first the miss-matched graphics on the body and some scratches and scuffs. I wasn't too worried yet. Then I found that they had not included a front bumper. Then I found a broken weld on the frame that held the bracket that the nerf bar bolts to. I promptly called them and was told to email pictures of the damage and missing parts to them for review which I did the same day. I put it away partially assembled. I waited 6 days to finally hear (in very poor, broken english) that they would send parts. No mention of the broken weld that would have to be professionally repaired. I emailed them again and wanted to know of the status of my broken welds and told them I would like a resolution ASAP. In the mean time I found that one of the rear tail light wires was not soldered on. I sent another email explaining the damage. No response after 2 days so I called them. I finally got through and was told that my emails were being sent to the manufacturer in China and that's why the english was poor and that it was up to them to decide if they would send me the parts and there was nothing Deeal, in CA (who I sent the $800 to), could do for me. Finally got to talk to a "manager" and was told they were sending me the bumper and I would have to have an estimate done for the welding and send a printed copy to them or else they would just give me $15 or $20 dollars. I then decided to try and attach the heal guards on the ATV which didn't fit at all. I had to grind, drill, and shim them to make them work. After that I thought I'd put some gas in it and see if the thing actually had a piston in it. After filling the tank with gas I saw fuel dripping on the ground. The fuel filter was cracked and leaking fuel all over. I pulled it off and went to the local store and bought an inline filter for $4 that solved that problem. I didn't even bother letting them know about this problem. Finally got it together enough to give it a test start. It fired up okay but was vibrating loudly. I then noticed the a-arm bushings were so sloppy they were rattling back and forth causing an unusual racket, and one of them was broken (had to have been installed that way). I barely got the thing ride-able for the day of my daughters birthday, two weeks after I got it. The right rear wheel or hub is bent because the tire wiggles side to side when it goes down the road. After one ride the rear axle bearings were so loose that I had to tighten them up. If I didn't already have an extensive knowledge in ATV mechanics this thing would be a scrap pile. The oil that comes in this ATV should be dumped before you ever start it. It looked like dirty water at best. The manual that comes with it is a generic "fits all" manual that provides absolutely no useful information about the specific model of ATV you have, in broken english mind you. PowersportsMax.com/Deeal Inc. has the absolute worst customer service I have ever come across.. Deeal says they are now sending me a bumper and a tab that I will have to have welded on myself with no mention of compensation for the other things I have told them about. I decided to file a complaint with the BBB of which they are a member. I have asked that they refund %10 of my purchase price and send me the bumper to which I have had no formal response as of 2/14/12 except that they are sending me the bumper. I posted a similar feedback on their site and even put 5 stars on the rating to see if it was posted, (it was not), which goes to show you they read all of their feedback and hand pick the only the positive comments which I have read from others time and time again on other complaint sites about there company. I feel sorry for anyone who ever bought a machine from them and I know I will never again. Coincidentally my brother-in-law ordered the same model from PowersportsMax.com and had a clutch failure within 5 hours of riding! I pray for my kids' sake that this thing holds together untill I can afford a real quad. So far my daughter has watched me work on her ATV more than she has ridden it. BUYER BEWARE!!!
