I called this company to repair our dishwasher , on a Friday 7/8/2011 , they sent someone on Saturday morning so they had a fast response, the technician who come , pull some dirt out of the air gasket , and told he was done , so I ask him to stay until my dishwasher cycle was done so that I can show him the problem was the overfilling of the dishwasher , so he wait and said we need a new computer part , that he will call me on Monday to let me know how much is the part , no one called me on Monday so I called this company back on Tuesday , and they told they have to send another technician because the first one didn't really know what was the problem , I have an estimate paper about labor and the part need it sign by this technician.
so on Tuesday , this different technician comes in my house , and he is very rude , he said he need to call the dishwasher company to ask what the problem , so after talking to Asko customer service for about 30 min , he said , ok now is fix , I just have to clean the bottom and I`m done here , so I said ok , but can you tell me what they told you on the phone ? There is a way to let the dishwasher drain the water ? and then he answer , well they told me and sent me an email on how to do this , but to tell you will cost you money ?????????????? beside the labor . I really thought he was kidding at first .... and he continue telling me it was a secret that is a company policy , they can`t tell , so i`ll have to pay for the information . He said just the labor was $ 183 .
So I told him that I don`t want the job done , and to call the manager , he talk to the manager on the phone and then he just left . I then called Allen & Sons and they said the next day a manager will call me back to follow up , no one has called me , I felt this guy was trying to sell me public information .
I called Asko customer service , and ask if they can send me the same email , and they were very nice , sent it to me , and reassure me that there is not such of thing as secret .
Please do not call this company , I was very intimidated from this guy that was trying to extort money from me . This was a terrible experience , and I`m still afraid if this person come back to my house , he was very very rude and left very mad .
